She went on to earn a Bachelors of Science degree from Lander College in Greenwood, South Carolina. She served as Supervisor of County and City School Food Service in Spartanburg, South Carolina for many years. From 1973-1974 she served as American School Food Service Association President. She currently resides in South Carolina. There are few documents from any time prior to or after she finished her tenure as ASFSA President. The collection has many photographs and notes from conferences.
