As summer comes to a close, ICN has big things on the way! We continue to see great strides being made with training participants, as well as, with record-breaking face-to-face training requests and online course completions. The ICN S.T.A.R. webinars are now available through the eLearning Portal, as well as two new online courses and a number of new and updated resources. ICN’s S.T.A.R. pilot participants will reach their 12-month goals in October, and we would like to spotlight another outstanding member of the original group. Deb Potter of Prairie Hills USD in Sabeth, Kansas was instrumental in garnering administrative support for her district’s Innovative Breakfast initiative. Kudos, Deb!

We would also like to announce the release of ICN’s Child Nutrition Sharing Site (CNSS), formerly USDA’s Healthy Meals Resource System (HMRS) and the Child Nutrition Recipe Box, formerly Team Nutrition’s USDA Standardized Recipes. CNSS offers child nutrition professionals a one-stop-shop for sharing and downloading resources and training materials, and the Recipe Box allows child nutrition professionals access to an ever-growing collection of USDA standardized recipes. ICN in collaboration with USDA has worked hard to bring these ideas to life. We are so excited about the release of these two new sites and see them as an integral part in helping our customers meet their day-to-day operational needs.
