John holds a B.A. in History from Mississippi State University and a M.A. in History (Public History Track) with a Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of West Georgia. John has been at the University of Mississippi since late 2006, and has been with ICN since Summer 2011. He works with Child Nutrition Archives collections and the Institute's Clearinghouse resources. Along with studying Culinary (Food) History, his historical interests also include: Early U.S., Appalachia, Ireland & Irish-Americans, Native Americans, Britain (1400-1900), France (1600-1870), and Tsarist Russia.
