The purpose of a co-creation session with students is to get feedback on ideas you already have, to generate new ideas, and to think creatively about how to bring an idea into reality. This is a hands-on, interactive brainstorming session. Enlist facilitators who the students know and trust to lead this activity. Information gathered from this activity can be valuable for providing ideas and insights into culturally inclusive foods that students would be excited to see on your school menus. This activity is from the School Meals Design Guide from No Kid Hungry by Share Our Strength. It could be used as part of a focus group session, as an extracurricular activity, or in partnership with a community group.
