Orientation to School Nutrition Management: January 7-11, 2019
Orientation to School Nutrition Management will be held on January 7-11, 2019, at the Institute of Child Nutrition (formerly NFSMI) located at #6 Jeanette Phillips Drive in Oxford, Mississippi.
Orientation to School Nutrition Management (4 1/2 day training) This training session provides an overview of the management components of school nutrition programs. The target audience includes school nutrition program staff, specialists, and trainers. Participants who complete this session will earn 30.5 units of continuing education that are credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the School Nutrition Association. Codes for USDA Professional Standards are listed on the certificate of completion.
Three hours of college credit are available for this session. Please contact Evan Williams at ecw1@olemiss.edu for more information about receiving college credit through The University of Mississippi School of Applied Sciences. Participants who wish to receive college credit must pay application fees and tuition, and must be admitted to the university prior to the beginning of the session.
Please note that registering to attend this session through ICN does not register you for college credit.
Materials and lunch will be provided each day. Participants are responsible for travel expenses.
