In partnership with USDA, ICN has conducted Team Up for School Nutrition Success workshops for six of the seven regional offices: Southeast Team Up at ICN on November 12-13, 2014, Southwest Team Up at ICN on April 14-15, 2015, Northeast Team Up in Concord, New Hampshire on May 19-20, 2015, Western Team Up in San Diego, California, on June 16-17, 2015, Midwest Team Up in Rosemont, Illinois, July 21-22, 2015 and Mid-Atlantic Team Up in Arlington, Virginia on August 4-5, 2015. ICN staff from our Headquarters and Applied Research division welcomed well over 100 attendees at each of these events, including school nutrition directors, state agency, USDA national and regional staff, and allied organizations.
The last regional Team Up workshops are scheduled for the Mountain Plains region in Kansas City, MO, September 22-23.
We offer a huge thank-you to all USDA, State Agency, Mentors, Participants, and ICN staff members for making this truly beneficial initiative a huge success.
Team Up Thursdays webinars began in January and have been conducted on the last Thursday of each month reaching over 2,259 live attendees and well over 800 have watched the recordings available on ICN’s website. Webinar topics include: Plate Waste, Increasing Participation, Menu Planning, Financial Management, Allied Organizations, Making Sense of the Science on Sodium, and Professional Standards.
