The Institute of Child Nutrition is very excited to have Kansas pilot the new S.T.A.R. Program Initiative! Thank you to all the states who submitted entries for the pilot drawing. All states will have the opportunity to participate in the program so stay tuned for future information about how to register your state.
For those of you who may be asking, “What is S.T.A.R.?” – It is a new and exciting training and peer-to-peer mentoring program designed specifically for managers/site-level supervisors. S.T.A.R. stands for Strategies, Trainings, Action Plans, and Resources. It is designed to help managers develop goals and best practices to improve program administration and operations through unique training, technical assistance, and professional development over 12 months!
Upon completion of the pilot with Kansas, ICN will be training experienced, active and recently retired directors to serve as coaches and mentors across the U.S. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, contact ICN now to submit the required paperwork.
